Vicar, St Margaret’s
Linda’s Ph D is in Education. Her research was in Jungian theory; specifically on the role of image in creating meaning. Her study led to Post-Graduate teaching in a subject titled Modes and Structures of Consciousness.
Linda is a life-long learner and teacher. Her earliest memories are of being taken to the library as a toddler and being allowed to select whichever picture books she liked. Even those on display! The created a life-long passion for books. Linda was a teacher of English and History and Religious Studies in secondary schools before ordination.
After ordination Linda had dual roles on the ministry team of Christ Church South Yarra and as Chaplain in the parish school Christ Church Grammar. She has always drawn on her educational training and especially Godly Play methodology to teach primary children about God. After eight years in those roles changes of direction in both parish and school meant it was time for a new direction.
Linda returned to her home parish of St George in East Ivanhoe in an honorary capacity awaiting God’s direction. The opportunity to take on locum roles emerged. She finds her current role at St Margarets both joyous and life-giving.
Linda’s husband is John. They have one adult son and a one year old grandchild named Gryphon.
